Kumho Ecsta PA51 – high-performance tire that is positioned by the manufacturer as all-season. The model was released for the North American market and is capable of providing confident handling, both on wet and slightly snowy road surfaces.
To improve handling and the ability to maintain traction on winter roads, the manufacturer used computer simulation methods. As a result, the tread received an asymmetric structure, in which a ribbed structure is clearly visible. In the center, there is a rigid rib that, together with the reinforced sidewalls, provides excellent maneuverability and responsiveness. Numerous multidirectional grooves that densely cover the ribbed structures actively participate in draining the contact area. Their sharp edges are able to quickly cut through the water film, preventing hydroplaning, which often occurs at high speeds. Also, the large number of gripping edges had a positive effect on the traction properties. Thanks to the optimization of the block structure arrangement, the acoustic properties of the tire were also improved, reducing them to minimal indicators. As a result, even at high speeds, the car's cabin will be quiet.
