Description Kumho Ecsta HS81
The summer tire Kumho Ecsta HS81 is distinguished by improved performance at high speeds. The model, belonging to the UHP category, is designed for the most powerful modifications of passenger cars, of various classes. It is offered in a wide range of sizes with a diameter from 13 to 18 inches.
Optimized tread profile
In the side projection, the tire profile is made with a variable curvature. This made it possible to significantly increase the contact patch area and give it a practically square shape. Such a configuration provides additional stability to the traction properties. When driving, this feature makes it easier to manage the vehicle, creating a feeling of reliability and safety on the road.
Increased drainage grooves
The traction properties hardly change even on wet pavement. The drainage system, which has increased longitudinal groove sizes, plays a significant role in this. Their volume provides very fast removal of almost any amount of water from the contact patch, thereby preventing the tread from floating over the road.
Improved rubber compound
To a significant extent, the excellent traction properties of the tire are achieved due to the characteristics of the compound. Its composition consists of more than half of silica. This component gives the tread the elasticity necessary to closely fit even the smallest irregularities on the road surface. In addition, such a rubber compound has high mechanical strength for tearing and stretching, which improves the tire's resistance to wear.
Key features of the Kumho Ecsta HS81 tire
- an optimized tread profile provides stability of traction properties under any road conditions;
- low risk of aquaplaning at high speeds due to the performance of the drainage system with increased longitudinal grooves;
- a rubber compound with increased silica content improves grip on wet pavement and prevents wear;
- a specially selected rim shape that reduces the risk of damage to the rim and improves the speed and accuracy of the tire's response to the driver's actions.
