Description Kormoran Gamma B2
The Kormoran Gamma B2 summer tire is an exact copy of the Tigar Synesis. Both tires are manufactured at a plant owned by a Serbian company, which, like the Polish brand, belongs to the French tire conglomerate Michelin. It was Michelin's specialists who developed this model, designed for powerful versions of modern passenger cars.
High precision handling
Several solutions used in the development of the tire are more commonly used in sports tires for track and circuit racing. This refers to the design of the shoulder areas of the tread. The blocks located here have massive sizes and a trapezoidal shape with a slope towards the sidewall in the lateral projection. This structure allows this element to maintain its vertical position even under strong lateral acceleration forces. This ensures that they are transmitted to the load-carrying elements of the tire's design much faster, which improves handling accuracy. Such a design of the tread edges increases the width of the contact patch, enhancing grip. At the same time, the trapezoidal shape of the blocks provides its stability when changing direction and maneuvering.
Excellent straight-line stability
When driving in a straight line, the tire is no less stable and stable than when maneuvering and cornering. This feature is provided by the structure of the central part of the tread, occupied by two wide longitudinal ribs. Both elements have a composite structure, representing a series of 4-sided blocks connected by narrow rigid bridges. Such tread elements, thanks to these features, are multifunctional, as they improve several characteristics of the tire. First of all, this is the stability during straight-line driving, provided by the massive sizes and stiffness of the composite parts of the tread ribs. In addition, their longitudinal arrangement reduces rolling resistance, and the presence of numerous edges improves the effectiveness of the tread's work when accelerating and braking.
Stability on wet surfaces
Another advantage of the tire is its stable behavior on wet surfaces. Even in the most unfavorable weather conditions, it maintains stability, not floating above the road surface. This ability is provided by the high performance of the drainage system. The three longitudinal grooves in the center have a large volume, and the transverse ones are arranged at an angle and directed against the direction of motion. In the latter case, the process of water drainage is greatly accelerated due to the use of centrifugal forces of wheel rotation.
Rubber compound optimized for high speed
During the manufacture of the tire's tread, a compound is used, the composition and, consequently, the characteristics of which were optimized taking into account the features of operation at high speeds. It contains special polymers that increase the strength of the tread on tear and stretch, ensuring its integrity under continuous multidirectional impact.
Key features of Kormoran Gamma B2
- high handling precision and stability in corners are provided by massive blocks on the edges of the tread;
- speed stability thanks to rigid composite ribs in the central part;
- low risk of aquaplaning is ensured by the large capacity of longitudinal and transverse grooves with an inclined position.
