Description Kleber Krisalp HP2
The Kleber Krisalp HP2 winter passenger tire, produced by one of the most renowned French manufacturers, is perfectly suited for a very wide range of modern passenger cars of small and medium class, including minivans. The excellent characteristics of this tire are evidenced by the high-speed indices assigned to it - V and H.
The design of the V-shaped directional symmetric tread pattern of the tire contains features characteristic of modern models of winter studless tires. However, together with this, several interesting technical solutions were used in this tire, which significantly improved its operational characteristics. In particular, it is worth noting the very wide central rib with a wavy edge, having a rigid, uninterrupted structure. Thanks to this solution, the French tire engineers were able to endow the tire with excellent directional stability when moving on slippery surfaces. Additionally, the surface of the central rib is entirely covered with transverse bidirectional lamellas, which are designed to improve the efficiency of acceleration and braking on wet, snowy, or icy surfaces.
Also, in the central part of the tread, there are two longitudinal ribs consisting of massive, individually standing blocks of complex configuration. The large size of the blocks allowed for a significant increase in the contact patch area of the Kleber Krisalp HP2 tire, and the carefully calculated distance between them provided the tire's tread with excellent self-cleaning characteristics from water, snow, and dirt, which significantly improved the handling characteristics on wet roads and passability on snow.
The shoulder areas consist of a large number of individual blocks of rectangular shape, distinguished by a large height and a rounded profile. Thanks to this solution, it was possible to provide the tire with excellent passability on deep snow, as well as high resistance to uneven wear.
Main features of the Kleber Krisalp HP2 tire
- excellent grip when driving on snowy and icy roads, thanks to the optimized V-shaped design of the symmetric directional tread pattern;
- improved grip on ice due to a multitude of lamellas of various shapes;
- excellent elasticity and wear resistance are ensured by a carefully selected composition of the rubber mixture.
