Description Киров КИ-113
The Kirov KI-113 truck tire has been produced by a domestic manufacturer for many years. However, its excellent technical characteristics and regular modernization of the design allow this model to remain relevant to this day. As for the scope of application of this tire, it is limited to trucks that operate not only on asphalt roads but also on rough terrain.
Tread pattern for highway and off-road
This model is equipped with a familiar symmetrical directional tread pattern with a very memorable V-shaped design, known to more than one generation of our compatriots. It is formed by numerous ribs that converge in the central part of the tread. At the same time, each of them consists of three separate blocks with a shape close to square. Such a design gives the tire excellent performance both on the highway and off-road.
Due to the fact that in the central part of the tread, the blocks are located at a very small distance from each other, the tire demonstrates not only good directional stability when driving on the highway but also low rolling resistance. Off-road, numerous tread blocks located in the shoulder areas come into play. The fact is that in this part of the tread, the distance between them is many times greater than in its center. This design feature allows the tread to quickly get rid of not only small soil particles but also fairly large stones. In combination with a significant number of traction edges formed by numerous blocks and their great height, this allows the tire to demonstrate excellent traction properties in the longitudinal direction when driving on sandy, earthy, and rocky soils.
Main features of the Kirov KI-113 tire
- the tire is designed for trucks, a significant part of the operation of which takes place outside of roads with a solid surface;
- the aggressive V-shaped design of the symmetrical directional tread pattern provides the tire with universality;
- low rolling resistance due to the small distance between the blocks located in the central part of the tread;
- the increased number of traction edges due to the small size and square shape of the blocks provides the tire with excellent traction on various types of surfaces;
- the ability of the tread to self-clean even from large stones increases reliability and off-road capability.
