Winter tire Kirov K-203 is designed for passenger cars of small and medium class. At the same time, Russian tire manufacturers were guided by the experience of their foreign colleagues and the climatic and road conditions of the northern regions. The result of their work was a tire that is perfectly adapted to both harsh frosts and poor-quality roads.
V-shaped tread
The tire is equipped with a tread with an open V-shaped design. It contains a multitude of blocks combined into groups of three elements each. This forms very long edges, the curved shape of which additionally enhances the traction and handling properties on slippery surfaces.
Ice grip
The tread blocks contain special narrow slits. These elements enhance the grip on icy surfaces, forming numerous sharp edges. They are extremely effective, as they easily penetrate the water film that forms as a result of the tread rubbing against the ice. If necessary, the tire can be equipped with studs. The tread has mounting holes for their installation.
Acoustic comfort
The tire tread is divided into two parts. The blocks located in them are significantly offset relative to each other. This solution minimizes the risk of resonant noise, which increases the acoustic comfort, especially inside the car.
