Russian summer tire Kirov-170 is familiar to many of our compatriots driving light trucks. The tire is designed for use in the summer period, however, it can be recommended not to abandon it even in conditions of mild snowy winters. The extension of the season is due to the well-thought-out design of the tread and the reinforced shoulder area, which affects the wear resistance.

Durability

The tire is made in Russia, and our manufacturers are well aware of the quality of local roads. Hence the increased attention to the product's resistance to adverse operating conditions. The sidewalls are reinforced and detailedly lamellized, which increases the lifespan of the tire, which daily encounters numerous potholes. The frequent cutting of lamellae on the sidewalls helps to more effectively reject dirt, which accumulates especially in road pits.

High reliability on wet roads

Resistance to aquaplaning is mainly associated with the tread pattern. As for the presented model, it is characterized by four wide and deep longitudinal channels, an asymmetrical pattern of perpendicular grooves, and numerous lamellae. The main load on the wet road surface falls on the longitudinal channels, which are capable of quickly diverting a large volume of water from the contact patch. This ensures unimpeded driving even during heavy rain.

The smaller grooves and lamellae, in addition to taking part of the load for hydro diversion, improve the tire's traction properties. The increased traction of the tire with the road increases the speed characteristics of the car and ensures efficient braking.
