Kingstar SW40 — a model for passenger cars operated in regions with a "mild" winter. The focus here is not on extreme frosts and deep snow, but on frequent thaws, wet asphalt, and slush. Engineers have managed to organically combine an efficient drainage system, sharp maneuverability, and acoustic comfort.

Grip Geometry

The basis is a symmetrical directional tread. Three longitudinal ribs form a rigid frame of the contact zone, but the real "magic" is hidden in their microstructure. Each element is permeated with disoriented lamellas. As a result, hundreds of additional edges are formed, working in different vectors. This directly improves two key parameters: longitudinal grip and transverse stability. You get predictable vehicle behavior even during high-speed maneuvers.

Drainage System

Wide circumferential grooves in combination with a fan-like network of transverse grooves instantly remove water and slush from the contact area. The system is designed with a margin of throughput. It copes with large volumes characteristic of positive temperatures and wet snow. The risk of planing is minimized — the contact zone is cleared faster than a water wedge forms.

Elasticity

For winter, stable elasticity is critical. That's why a silicate filler was introduced into the rubber mixture recipe. It prevents crystallization of the polymer matrix at near-zero temperatures, preserving microporosity and flexibility of the tread. The result is confident and efficient braking.
