Description Kingboss W705
Winter operation is always a compromise between controllability on ice and passability in deep snow. Kingboss W705 was created with the aim of breaking this stereotype. This is a tire for a wide range of passenger cars, where, due to the complex architecture of the tread, it was possible to combine seemingly incompatible things: directional stability and confident movement on loose snow.
The role of lamellas
The model is based on a developed block structure, permeated with a dense network of lamellas. These microscopic slits work as independent traction elements. When in contact with an icy surface, they open up, creating a multitude of edges that literally dig into the ice mirror. It is this design feature that has made it possible to achieve benchmark braking performance on slippery surfaces.
Asymmetry with character
The non-directional asymmetric tread has a complex geometry. The outer side is responsible for the sensitivity of the steering and stiffness when passing turns. The inner side and central zone have special block edges. They work as fixators: when slipping, the edges grip the snow, not allowing the wheel to "dig in" and ensuring the effect of self-cleaning.
Drainage system against "slashing"
One of the main winter problems is hydroplaning and slashing. To combat this, the tread is equipped with wide ring channels and a chaotic network of transverse notches. This system works like a pump, instantly evacuating moisture, dirt, and snow crumbs. The contact area remains dry and clean, and the tire retains its specified operating characteristics.
Frost-resistant compound
The rubber mixture plays a key role in the operation of the tire. A specialized winter compound with an increased silica content. It retains molecular elasticity even at extremely low temperatures, not "becoming" frosty. This guarantees that the softness of the contact patch and, consequently, the level of traction will remain unchanged.
Key features of Kingboss W705:
- asymmetric non-directional pattern and lamellization optimize the contact patch, providing unparalleled traction in winter conditions;
- numerous block edges increase passability in deep snow and improve steering sensitivity during maneuvering;
- ring channels and notches effectively combat hydroplaning and slashing, ensuring the cleanliness of the contact area;
- the winter compound maintains working properties at any negative temperatures, ensuring predictable car behavior.
