Description Кама 515 (нешип)
The non-studded version of the Kama 515 winter tire is designed for compact crossovers and SUVs that are used both on paved roads and off-road. It is characterized by good performance on various types of road surfaces, long service life, and reliability.
Excellent snow passability
The versatility of this model is largely due to the use of a V-shaped tread pattern. Its design features an increased number of blocks, the size of which has been reduced. This provides a contact patch with multiple edges, the height of which allows the tire to effectively grip the road surface, even under deep snow.
Directional stability
The tread blocks are arranged in such a way that when they come into contact with the road, a large number of engagement edges are formed, which have a significant angle relative to the direction of movement. This significantly improves directional stability and prevents the occurrence and development of lateral skidding.
Efficiency during longitudinal accelerations
The edges located in the tread at a small angle to the direction of movement are no less numerous. A significant part of them is formed by lamellas cut with high density throughout the tread. They allow the tire to effectively grip even the smallest irregularities on the road surface, which achieves excellent acceleration and deceleration intensity, especially on slippery surfaces.
Increased contact patch area
The tread profile is made with a variable curvature. In the central part, it is almost flat, and in the shoulder zones, it has a small radius. Its value is calculated so that when loaded, the contact patch of the tread is as wide as possible. At the same time, the increased stiffness of the shoulder blocks of the tread provides a more even distribution of load on it, which on the one hand gives stability to the engagement properties, and on the other hand reduces the abrasive effect on the tire.
Main features of Kama 515 (non-studded)
- increased passability on deep snow;
- high efficiency during acceleration and braking, especially on slippery surfaces;
- the optimized shape of the tread profile increases the size of the contact patch;
- rigid shoulder blocks give stability to the engagement properties, reducing the likelihood of uneven wear.
