Description Кама 503
The winter tire Kama 503 was specifically designed for compact-class passenger cars of domestic production. This model is released in six standard sizes with mounting sizes of 12 and 13 inches. At the same time, some sizes have two execution options - with spikes and without spikes.
For this model, domestic tire manufacturers preferred to use a tread with a symmetrical non-directional pattern, distinguished by an original S-shaped design. Among the significant advantages of this scheme for arranging tread elements, it is worth noting good traction on winter coatings, as well as excellent fuel economy and low noise levels.
The longitudinal rib located in the center has a solid and rigid structure, which contributes to the improvement of directional stability indicators. The blocks located nearby are grouped into four longitudinal rows and differ not only in size but also in complex configuration, abundant with multiple ellipse-shaped faces and sharp corners. By being at a short distance from each other and at a fairly sharp angle relative to the direction of movement, these blocks provide a large contact patch size and high efficiency of the Kama 503 tire acceleration on compacted snow.
The shoulder zones of the tread are distinguished by a reinforced structure, which not only gave the tire stability and reliability of behavior when passing turns but also excellent braking efficiency on slippery surfaces due to the sharp edges of massive blocks.
The main features of the Kama 503 model
- The optimized S-shaped symmetrical directional tread pattern provides a high level of safety when driving on snowy and icy roads;
- A large number of tread blocks equipped with S-shaped lamellas provide a multitude of sharp edges, ensuring excellent traction on slippery surfaces;
- Eight lines of studding made it possible to achieve excellent manageability on icy roads;
- Massive rectangular tread blocks in the shoulder zones are located at a right angle to the direction of movement, which significantly increased the braking efficiency on a slippery road;
- The solid structure of the longitudinal rib, located in the center of the tread, allows the tire to demonstrate excellent directional stability in any conditions.
