The Kama 231 passenger all-season tire is designed for the IZH-27171 pickup truck or any other commercial vehicle that allows the installation of 185/75 R13C 96N size wheels. They are released in two versions - tubeless and tubed. In the latter case, a UK-13M camera is installed in the tire. Another feature worth noting is the combined construction of the carcass and breaker.

The tread pattern of the tire is created according to classic templates and features an S-shaped design, which is used in most similar tire products from many leading world brands. The tread pattern consists of 5 longitudinal ribs, but taking into account the combined structure of the shoulder areas, the tire features a rare seven-rib design. Such an arrangement of tread elements has a number of advantages, especially relevant for tires for small-tonnage commercial vehicles. First of all, it is worth noting the combination of a large contact patch and a multi-rib structure of the tread pattern, which ensures an even distribution of external load on it, which provides not only good traction with the road surface but also high resistance to uneven wear, which extends the life of the Kama 231 tire.

Since this model is intended mainly for operation on roads with a solid surface, the company's specialists placed a wide longitudinal rib in the central part of the tread to ensure good directional stability when driving at high speeds. Its solid structure is characterized by high rigidity, thanks to which this part of the tread is always in contact with the road surface. In addition, the edges of the central rib have a zigzag shape. This solution made it possible to significantly reduce the level of resonant noise that occurs during movement.
