This model is distinguished by a rare asymmetric tread pattern for winter tires. It consists of two separate functional zones located on the inner and outer sides.
The outer side of the Jinyu YW52 contains two not very large longitudinal ribs, each of which is a series of separate tread blocks of a quadrangular shape. The main task of this functional zone is to provide reliable traction and directional stability when moving in a straight line.
The inner side also contains two longitudinal ribs, one of which has a very massive size. Like the ribs on the inner side, they consist of many separate blocks that form two additional rows. The main task of this part of the tread pattern is to provide stable and reliable traction when making sharp maneuvers or turning.
Excellent traction on snow and ice
The tread pattern of this tire is distinguished by the presence of a large number of traction edges, most of which are not formed by blocks. On the surface of each of them, there are special S-shaped lamellas. When in contact with the road surface, they open, forming a countless number of additional traction edges. At the same time, the S-shaped shape of the walls allows them to be tightly fixed to each other, which significantly increases the stiffness of the tread block.
