The all-season passenger tire Ironman Radial A/P is designed for high-performance vehicles, light trucks, and minivans with full or partial drive.
In developing the tread pattern of the tire, computer modeling tools were widely used, which made it possible to select the optimal scheme for the location of all elements of the tire tread from the point of view of ride comfort.
The non-directional tread pattern of the tire consists of five ribs, consisting of many individual blocks. A distinctive feature of the tread pattern is the checkerboard arrangement of blocks of the three central ribs. This solution made it possible to significantly reduce the noise level, as well as increase the strength of the entire Ironman Radial A/P tire, contributing to a more even distribution of the load. In addition, the two sides of the blocks that make up the three central ribs have a zigzag shape.
Excellent self-cleaning characteristics of the tread from water, snow, and mud are provided by three wide longitudinal grooves and a system of transverse channels, thereby significantly improving the traction, thrust, and braking characteristics on a slippery surface. The surface of each tread block contains three wavy lamellae, which create additional edges for gripping the surface, further increasing traction when driving on slippery roads without compromising the stiffness of the entire tread design.
When designing the tire carcass, all unfavorable factors inherent in year-round operation were taken into account. Thanks to the multi-layer design, the carcass makes the tire strong and elastic.
Key features of the Ironman Radial A/P tire
- Optimal handling characteristics in any weather conditions, as well as a long service life, are provided by the original design of the tread pattern, which consists of five ribs;
- A high level of comfort when driving, thanks to the widespread use of computer modeling tools, with the help of which the scheme for the location of the tread pattern elements was calculated;
- Excellent self-cleaning abilities of the tread are ensured by the large distance between the blocks;
- The multi-layer design of the tire carcass, thanks to which the tire is distinguished by its strength and elasticity.
