Description Interco VorTrac
Released worldwide by a renowned North American manufacturer, the passenger universal tire with increased cross-country capability is designed for SUVs, pickups, and light trucks.
The design of the symmetric non-directional tread pattern is characterized by a high density of elements. In the central part of the tread, there are three rows of individual trapezoidal blocks with a multitude of sharp edges. Thanks to the thoughtful layout and configuration of the blocks, the tire has a large contact area, which allows the tire to demonstrate excellent traction on hard surfaces, including rocky off-road sections and public roads. Additionally, due to the high density of block placement, it was possible to achieve low rolling resistance, as well as a more even distribution of load across the contact patch, which had a positive effect on the tire's durability and wear resistance. It is also worth noting the unevenness of the step of placing all the elements of the tread pattern, thanks to which the tire has a low noise level, making the ride more comfortable.
Thanks to the two-stage construction of the blocks located in the shoulder areas of the tread, it was possible to increase the contact area of the tire with the surface on the one hand, and on the other hand, to additionally strengthen the protection of the tire's sidewalls, which are vulnerable to various damages.
Another distinctive feature of the Interco VorTrac tire is the presence of several transverse S-shaped lamellas on each tread element, which, according to the manufacturer, are designed to provide excellent traction on wet, snowy, and icy surfaces. Additionally, to ensure more confident, stable, and safe behavior in adverse weather conditions, all blocks are placed at the most optimal distance from each other to provide high efficiency in removing water, mud, snow, and various foreign objects from the tire's contact patch.
Main features of the Interco VorTrac tire
- excellent traction and coupling characteristics on public roads and other hard surfaces, including rocky off-road sections, thanks to the original design of the tire's tread pattern;
- low noise level and softness when moving, ensured by the placement of tread elements with an uneven step;
- high density of tread elements, thanks to which the external load is more evenly distributed across the contact patch, increasing the tire's durability and wear resistance;
- the two-stage structure of the shoulder area blocks provides additional protection for the tire's sidewalls from damage.
