The Interco TSL Bias tire is designed for vehicles that can truly be called off-road vehicles, with excellent off-road capability. This model belongs to the Mud Terrain category, i.e. it demonstrates all its strengths on earthy grounds with high humidity.
Aggressive "mud" tread pattern
The design of the tread pattern was developed over nine years. The pattern from the previous model, which was extremely popular among off-road enthusiasts, was taken as the basis. The new model has proven to be more effective on earthy surfaces than its predecessor.
The key difference from the design of the predecessor is the construction of the shoulder areas. They still contain mud catches, but their width has been significantly increased. At the same time, it should be noted that the block sizes are different. Wide elements alternate with narrower ones. This solution provides for easier exit from the rut and prevents getting into it. In addition, the section of these blocks entering the sidewall of the tire has a lower height. This prevents the tire from digging into the ground when the internal pressure is reduced.
Reduced rolling resistance
This tire rolls much easier than its predecessor. This was achieved without compromising off-road capability due to intelligent changes in the central part of the tread. It still contains massive blocks, but their shape and arrangement form two wide zigzag-shaped longitudinal ribs. These ribs are separated by a large distance, which has a positive effect on the distribution of load on the contact patch, providing an equal value of specific pressure on the ground throughout its area.
Exceptionally durable carcass
Some technical solutions were "borrowed" from the previous model, with the most effective ones being chosen. In particular, the tire received a carcass containing four steel cords. These power elements have exceptional carrying capacity, guaranteeing integrity even under significant impact loads.
Rubber compound specifically for off-road
A distinctive feature of the tread compound is its high stiffness. This is due to the developers' desire to give the tire maximum reliability due to its resistance to mechanical stress. And they succeeded, judging by the previously released models, the tread of which is made from the same rubber compound. Throughout the entire operational life declared by the manufacturer, as practice shows, the risk of punctures and cuts is minimal. At the same time, the tire demonstrates a sufficiently soft ride on public roads and hard ground. The large height of the tread blocks, which deviate significantly from the vertical position, has a positive effect, providing effective shock absorption from road irregularities.
Main features of Interco TSL Bias
- aggressive design of the shoulder areas with powerful mud catches provides the tire with exceptional off-road capability on humid grounds;
- two wide zigzag-shaped ribs in the center of the massive blocks reduce rolling resistance, improve directional stability and acoustic comfort;
- excellent strength and impact resistance due to a 4-layer all-steel carcass
