The Imperial Ir1 winter tire is suitable for most compact passenger cars. It is characterized by improved traction on wet and snowy surfaces, comfortable handling in difficult conditions, smooth ride and low noise level.
The tread pattern has a V-shaped design, in which a significant part of the drainage elements are directed against the direction of movement. This allows to increase the intensity of water and its mixture with snow removal from the contact patch, using the rotation of the wheel. The pattern also contains many small blocks, due to the edges of which the traction force and braking intensity on snow are increased. These properties are almost completely preserved on ice as well. Each block has several wavy slits, which form hundreds of additional traction edges.
