Description iLINK SnowGripper I 255/45 R20 105V XL

iLINK SnowGripper I – winter tire for passenger cars operated in urban conditions. The model stands out for its resistance to skidding, transparency of control on a snowy road, as well as resistance to slipping.

The tread pattern is represented by a classic V-shaped structure. Its central zone is occupied by a wide rib structure consisting of individual blocks. Each of them is covered with a network of wavy lamellas. This design solution performs several functions at once. Firstly, maintaining traction on snowy and icy road sections. The numerous edges of the notches effectively fix the contact patch, ensuring the preservation of control. Secondly, the diagonally directed grooves contribute to the rapid cleaning of the tread from water, slush, and dirt.
The presence of silica in the rubber mixture ensures the maintenance of elasticity properties at negative temperatures. And this is a guarantee of maintaining a strong contact with the road surface.

Main features of iLINK SnowGripper I

- applicability to a wide range of passenger cars operated during the winter period;
- developed system of lamellas and blocks guarantees the efficiency of traction, grip and braking in any weather;
- developed drainage system protects against slaloming and hydroplaning.

Technologies

Newly directional tread pattern

Such a design not only provides maximum grip with the road, but also improves water drainage and snow removal.

Asymmetric tread pattern with multiple grooves

This design is suitable for various roads, well-balanced traction and handling on various icy and snowy roads, provided additional grooves on the surface of the tire and increased traction.

Innovative optimized design of high-density bionic wave groove

Such a design makes it possible to have up to 2500 grooves on the rubber block of the tire, which to a greater extent contributes to the deformation of the tread in snowy weather, thereby providing better traction and improving handling.

Tire tread pattern noise reduction design

Such a design effectively dissipates noise, providing the driver with silence and comfort while driving.

Special formula designed for icy and snowy road conditions, for accompanied driving

Special formula developed for icy and snowy road conditions, to accompany driving during the winter period

iLINK SnowGripper I — quiet winter tyre for city and moderate speeds

The model is of particular interest to owners of passenger cars who are looking for an affordable solution for urban use in the winter season. The main advantage lies in the combination of a smooth ride and low noise, however, it should be taken into account that the grip on ice is inferior to studded counterparts.

Who is it suitable for: The tyre is optimal for drivers who spend most of their time in the city and do not plan aggressive highway driving. The soft rubber compound retains elasticity at negative temperatures, providing comfort even in frost. The V-shaped tread pattern with a developed lamella system effectively drains water and snow slush, reducing the risk of aquaplaning. Buyers note the excellent factory wheel balancing - most sets require minimal balancing weights during fitting. The low noise level makes the ride pleasant, which is confirmed by a rating of 4.23/5 in reviews. For the southern regions of Russia, where winters are warm and black ice is rare, this is a rational choice with a good price-to-quality ratio.

Who should consider an alternative: It's better to choose a different class if you live in a region with a harsh winter and frequent black ice - the traction on ice is weaker here than that of studded models. It's less suitable for those who regularly drive on the highway at speeds above 120 km/h - at high speeds, a feeling of floating and instability appears. For roads with poor coverage and frequent potholes, it's worth considering options with a more rigid sidewall, as there are complaints about damage after serious impacts. If your car is powerful and dynamic, the response to the steering wheel may seem delayed. For such a scenario, it's more reasonable to look towards more sports-oriented winter models or studded options.

Main reason for choice: The main argument for purchasing is that you get predictable winter behaviour in the city for reasonable money without overpaying for brands. The practical benefit is that the tyre is quiet, soft and well-balanced, which reduces the costs of tyre fitting and increases the comfort of daily use. A reasonable compromise is to accept that this is not a universal winter tyre for any conditions, but a specialized product for mild winters and calm driving. The level of expectations should be kept realistic: this is a budget segment, where priority is given to comfort and price, not extreme grip. The final advice is that if your scenario matches the city, moderate speeds and infrequent ice, the purchase seems justified.
