The Ikon Nordman 5 winter tire is designed for use in regions with the coldest climate. It is most effective on snowy and icy surfaces, demonstrating stable traction, comfortable handling, acoustic comfort, and a long service life.
In terms of design, this model is a Hakkapeliitta 5, one of the most popular winter tires from the Finnish manufacturer in our country. The external similarity is ensured by the easily recognizable design of the tread pattern with an arrow-shaped rib in the middle. It reduces rolling resistance, providing precision handling and directional stability at high speeds. The "branches" departing from it in the form of composite A-shaped blocks allow for intense acceleration and braking on snow. The "three-dimensional" lamellas with saw-toothed edges cut into all tread elements preserve this ability on icy and compacted snow. It is worth noting the use of a "bear's claw", a special protrusion in the area of stud installation, which limits the mobility of the steel element during longitudinal accelerations, thereby increasing traction and braking properties on ice. Another feature of the tire is the rubber compound used in its manufacture.
