Ikon Character Aqua SUV – a novelty from the Russian manufacturer, designed for installation on crossovers and SUVs. The model is developed to be effective on both dry and wet surfaces. In addition, the tire demonstrates confident performance on light off-road, providing quick self-cleaning.

The tire's contact patch is formed by three central ribs and wide "shoulders" of the open type. On the one hand, this allowed to improve the efficiency of traction, and on the other – to increase the speed of tread cleaning. Due to diagonal grooves and central channels, it provides water collection and removal. An important element is the special protrusions on the bottom of the channels, removing solid particles from the tread. This makes it possible to operate the model in cross-country terrain without the appearance of the "mudding" effect.

The basis of the tire is a high-strength multilayer carcass, which neutralizes the deformation effect under load.

The use of a special compound has positively affected the resistance to overheating, maintaining the strength of the traction properties even at high speeds.

Technologies

Off-Road Claws Tread

Diagonal tread blocks on the shoulder improve traction on acceleration and braking, preventing the vehicle from losing traction on sandy and soft road surfaces.

Hydro Groove Channels

The exterior longitudinal ribs in the central section feature numerous deep diagonal grooves, open at one end, that enhance stability. This innovation also effectively prevents aquaplaning by accumulating water and steering it into the longitudinal grooves.

Expanding Grooves

Grooves in the shape of an expanding tube accumulate water between the tire and the road, speeding its movement from the main grooves to the circumferential and further out of the contact patch, providing maximum traction even on a wet road.

Rim protector Ring guards

Stone ejectors, positioned in the main grooves, prevent stone lodging in the grooves and between tread blocks, enhancing tire durability. Other road users will also appreciate a reduction in rock projectiles shooting out from under wheels.

Unique Structure

The wear resistance of the second generation Nordman S model was improved by the unique rubber compound composition, that enhances resistance to cuts, impacts and the consequences resulting from the impact of a heavy vehicle on potholes.
