Hifly Ice-Transit
Description Hifly Ice-Transit
The Hifly Ice-Transit winter tire is designed for light commercial vehicles and minivans. The model is adapted to the climatic conditions of Northern European countries and Russia. It is characterized by improved traction on slippery surfaces, a long service life, and reliability.
Directional Tread Pattern
The effectiveness of the tire on winter roads is largely ensured by the tread pattern. It features a V-shaped structure formed by the inclined arrangement of transverse grooves. This design improves longitudinal traction and directional stability on slippery surfaces.
Increased Number of Lamellae
The tire's tread is distinguished by a large number of lamellae. These narrow slits are located a few millimeters apart. When in contact with the road, they form a large number of long and sharp edges, which the tire effectively grips onto packed snow and ice.
Three Zigzag Longitudinal Grooves
The tread pattern features three wide longitudinal drainage grooves. These elements are multifunctional due to their zigzag shape, which provides the contact patch with additional traction edges. Due to their transverse arrangement, they improve longitudinal traction on slippery surfaces.
Winter Rubber Compound
The tire's tread is made from a special rubber compound, the physico-chemical properties of which are adapted to operation in negative temperatures. This is largely ensured by the increased silica content. This component, along with special polymers, allows the tread to remain elastic and resistant to wear under low-temperature conditions.
