The North American manufacturer positions the Hercules Raptis TR passenger tire as a model suitable for summer operation. At the same time, it is one of the representatives of the famous Raptis family - tires of the Ultra High Performance category. The size range offered by the manufacturer includes 12 different types for wheels with a landing diameter from 13 to 15 inches and a speed index of T. This leaves no doubt that we are dealing with an entry-level tire designed for compact cars operated within the city limits.
Asymmetric tread pattern
A distinctive feature of this model is the asymmetric tread pattern, which is not always expected to be found on inexpensive tires. At the same time, the tread pattern of the Hercules Raptis TR1 tire has only four longitudinal ribs, each of which is of a large size. The ribs located in the very center of the tread have high structural rigidity, since they do not have interruptions throughout their length. In addition, these ribs contain a large number of massive blocks of rectangular shape, arranged with a different pitch relative to each other. Thanks to this structure of the central part of the tread, the tire has a number of advantages, including excellent directional stability, high acceleration efficiency, lightning-fast response to steering wheel turns, and low rolling resistance.
Reinforced shoulder zones
The shoulder zones of the tread are of a very large size. This design feature guarantees high resistance to lateral accelerations, allowing, thereby, to pass turns at a higher speed. In addition, this part of the tread represents two additional rows of separate blocks, the rectangular shape of which contributes to the reduction of the braking distance.
Main features of the Hercules Raptis TR1 tire

- A large number of massive tread blocks arranged with a different pitch relative to each other provides a high level of ride comfort;
- Two rigid central ribs allow the tire to demonstrate excellent directional stability, sporty handling, and reduced rolling resistance.
