To date, the Heidenau K80 Motorcycle tire is one of the flagship tire models designed for the most powerful and high-speed road motorcycles. Its design incorporates many technical and technological solutions previously used only in racing tires.

This model is offered in two versions - for the steering and driving axles, each of which differs in size. For the front wheels, a tire with a narrower tread is intended, and for the rear wheel - accordingly with a wider one. In all other respects, including the tread pattern, both versions are practically identical to each other.

Since the Heidenau K80 tire is designed for high speeds, German specialists have equipped it with a almost racing tread pattern, which is characterized by a minimal number of elements, mainly intended for removing excess water from the contact patch. In fact, the tread of this tire is a kind of racing "slick", the adhesion of which to the surface is ensured by the rubber compound. According to the manufacturer's statements, the rubber compound used in this tire has a composition of exclusively high-quality components, thanks to which the tread very tightly fits the smallest irregularities of the road surface. As a result, the tire demonstrates excellent grip characteristics on dry asphalt.

Grip in rainy conditions is also ensured by the rubber compound, which includes silicon-containing components. As an addition, there is a highly efficient drainage system, consisting of water-removing channels located at a sharp angle to the direction of movement. Their characteristic feature is an S-shaped form, which reduces the likelihood of water swirls, thereby increasing the speed of its removal from the contact patch.
