Description Heidenau K62 4-Season Scooter
The Heidenau K62 4-Season Scooter motorcycle tire is a further development by this German manufacturer of a line of models designed for year-round operation. However, it should be taken into account that winter in European countries is characterized by milder conditions, i.e., this model will not be able to provide a high level of safety on ice and snow at low temperatures.
Like other 4-Season models, this tire is equipped with an aggressive V-shaped tread pattern consisting of a large number of massive blocks. The large distance between them allows the tread to quickly get rid of not only excess moisture but also more massive snow masses. In combination with the arrangement of drainage channels, this allows the tire to demonstrate high resistance to both aquaplaning and slush planing, ensuring excellent traction not only on wet roads but also on roads covered with melting snow.
Another feature of the drainage system of the Heidenau K62 motorcycle tire is the presence of a countless number of straight lamellas in the central part of the tread. This design solution has proven itself well in many other models of this manufacturer. These tread elements are designed to collect and direct water into the drainage grooves, through which it leaves the contact patch.
As mentioned earlier, the tire tread consists entirely of a large number of blocks, the shape and arrangement of which form a V-shaped tread pattern. This design is highly effective on slippery surfaces, providing not only a large contact patch area but also stability of its size, regardless of the driving mode. The tread profile with variable steepness also contributes to this, allowing the contact patch size to be maximized.
Main features of the Heidenau K62 4-Season Scooter motorcycle tire
- Exceptional resistance to both aquaplaning and slush planing allows confident movement even on winter slush;
- An aggressive V-shaped tread pattern design is well suited for driving on various types of surfaces, from dry asphalt to snowy surfaces;
- Special straight lamellas improve the efficiency of the water drainage system, improving traction on wet roads.
- Low noise level, due to the various shapes of the tread blocks and their arrangement with a variable pitch.
