Description Heidenau K58 4-Season Scooter Modified
The Heidenau K58 4-Season Scooter Modified motorcycle tire is a modified version of another model with a similar name. It differs from its predecessor with an even more aggressive tread pattern, which has improved the tire's grip on wet surfaces. As before, this model is designed for year-round use on scooters. However, in our country, this is unlikely to be possible, since this German manufacturer created this tire, taking into account the specific conditions of European winters, i.e., it can be used at temperatures not lower than a couple of degrees below zero.
The main improvements affected the tread pattern, which was equipped with smaller blocks, but in a larger quantity. At the same time, the distance between them was significantly increased, which could not but affect the passability of the Heidenau K58 Mod motorcycle tire on snow and mud, since the tread stopped getting clogged with road surface particles.
In addition, the increased distance between the blocks improved the performance of the drainage system, which in this model was supplemented with numerous straight lamellas located on the surface of the tread blocks. This solution was borrowed from automobile tire manufacturers, who have long been equipping their products with similar elements. When moving, the straight lamellas work like windshield wipers, "swiping" excess moisture from the contact patch, directing it into the drainage channels, through which it is output to the outside. As a result, the tire demonstrates exceptional abilities to resist aquaplaning, which is especially important for two-wheeled vehicles.
Main features of the Heidenau K58 4-Season Scooter Modified tire
- A large number of blocks of massive sizes provide excellent off-road capability;
- An optimized rubber compound has given the tire increased resistance to wear, as well as punctures and cuts;
- The exceptional efficiency of the drainage system allows for safe movement on both wet roads and snowy surfaces.
- Numerous straight lamellas located on the surface of the blocks in the central part of the tread increase the efficiency of the drainage system;
- A large contact patch is provided due to a tread with a small profile curvature, which significantly improves grip on dry roads.
