The Hankook Z221 Ventus TD summer tire is designed for sports cars that are actively used on both racing tracks and regular roads. The model belongs to the "semi-slick" category and stands out for its high traction and handling characteristics.
Several execution options
The tire is offered in several execution options that differ in the physicochemical properties of the rubber compound. The C3 version features the stiffest tread and is designed for use on road surfaces with temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius. In turn, the C5 and C7 modifications are used on surfaces heated to 20-35 and below 20 degrees Celsius. In other words, the South Korean company offers classic "hard", "medium" and "soft" options, which allows you to choose a tire taking into account the characteristics of the road surface.
Special compound
The tire tread is made of the same compound used by the manufacturer for racing tires. Its composition is based on high-dispersion silica and functional polymers that ensure the uniformity of the rubber compound and, as a result, the stability of its characteristics, especially on wet surfaces.
Lightweight frame
Even in large sizes, the tire weighs very little. This is due to the widespread use of modern synthetic materials in the frame design. It is a multi-layered "pie" where each part performs a specific function. In particular, the outer cord with longitudinally arranged fibers improves directional stability at high speeds and rapid precise transmission of transverse acceleration forces to the steering wheel. This gives the tire stability during straight-line movement and responsiveness during maneuvering.
