Description Hankook W429A i Pike X [Нешип] 275/60 R20 116T XL

The winter tire Hankook W429A i Pike X is designed for use in regions with a very cold climate. It is distinguished by improved traction properties on snow and ice, comfort handling, low noise level, soft ride, good fuel economy for its class, and durability.

The directional tread pattern features a zigzag shape of the grooves in the central part. They increase traction properties in deep snow. Here, it is also worth noting the saw-toothed protrusions on the bottom of the grooves, which additionally increase the passability on snowy sections. The wide blocks located there reduce rolling resistance, increasing directional stability and handling at high speeds. The shoulder blocks are made according to the "two-in-one" scheme, which ensures high traction force and braking intensity on snow, as well as increased stability and precision of handling during maneuvering, and reduced uneven wear of the tread.

The tread is covered with numerous lamellas. The "three-dimensional" cuts, when in contact with the road surface, form thousands of sharpened edges, which maintains the reliability of controlling the vehicle on icy surfaces. This property is significantly enhanced by the characteristics of the rubber compound. The compound with increased technical carbon content and "silica" remains elastic at extremely low temperatures, demonstrating excellent resistance to abrasive wear at the same time.

Main features of Hankook W429A i Pike X (Studded)

- zigzag shape of the grooves, saw-toothed protrusions on their bottom increase snow passability;
- wide blocks in the central part improve directional stability, fuel economy, and wear resistance;
- densely arranged "three-dimensional" lamellas increase traction and braking intensity on icy surfaces.

Technologies

Ice Slit Technology

Innovative tread technology provides excellent traction on ice

Optimized studs

Improved traction on ice due to an increased number of studs

Tread pattern edge

The serrated edges of the shoulder blocks on both sides provide better traction on snowy roads.

Tread edge with steps

The step tread design in the shoulder area provides better snow traction by increasing the frictional surface in deep snow.

Ultra High Temperature technology

The UHT technology makes the tire structure rigid, which helps to improve handling and cornering performance at higher speeds. It provides increased puncture resistance and tire durability.

High-Performance Technology

Highly elastic rubber makes the sidewall more durable and also effectively minimizes vibrations from the tire.

New studding technology

At the bottom of the stud, a void space is provided that allows reducing the impact on the road and improving operating characteristics due to the innovative increase in the number of studs.
