The Hankook W320C i*cept Evo2 winter tire is designed for compact and mid-size passenger cars. It is recommended by the manufacturer for use in areas with so-called "European" winters. It is characterized by improved traction properties on any wet and snowy road surfaces, precise handling, and directional stability when maneuvering.
The tread pattern features several original solutions that enhance traction properties on slippery surfaces. One of them is the drainage grooves in the shoulder areas, made in the form of an ice axe. It enhances longitudinal traction on snowy surfaces, complementing the functionality of the Z-shaped longitudinal grooves located nearby. Another feature of the tread is several thousand sinusoidal lamellas with "three-dimensional" side walls. They form a corresponding number of sharp edges, while limiting the mobility of the blocks. This allows the tire to demonstrate confident behavior on snow that has been rolled to a mirror shine.
