The Hankook RW11 i Pike winter tire is installed on crossovers, SUVs, and pickups. It demonstrates the greatest efficiency on asphalt roads, where it shows increased accuracy in handling and reliability of coupling properties.
The tread pattern is distinguished by the presence of a solid rib in the center with an original arrow-shaped shape. It forms additional transverse edges in the contact patch, increasing the traction force on snow. At the same time, the sharp-edged protrusions of this element increase its resistance to deformation, which has a positive effect on directional stability and handling accuracy at high speeds.
Twin blocks, separated from each other by wide drainage grooves, form long inclined gripping edges. They allow for effective implementation of traction force on a snowy surface, reducing the length of the braking distance. At the same time, at the points of intersection of the grooves, the tread captures and holds snow, additionally strengthening the coupling properties on such a coating.
Main features:
- a solid arrow-shaped rib in the middle increases directional stability and handling accuracy, additionally increasing traction force on snow;
- twin blocks provide efficiency on a snowy surface;
- 3D-lamellas increase traction-coupling properties on icy and wet surfaces.
