The GT Radial Savero SUV summer tire has recently joined the lineup of models for SUVs and crossovers. However, this did not prevent it from becoming popular in the markets of many countries, including ours. The key to success was not only the relatively low cost compared to most competitors, but also the operational characteristics. They correspond to a higher price range, which is largely due to some technical solutions, which will be discussed below.
Applicability
This model is offered by the Singaporean manufacturer in several dozen sizes for wheels with a mounting diameter from 15 to 20 inches. At the same time, the tread width ranges from 205 to 285 mm, and the speed index ranges from T to V. Such characteristics allow you to choose a variant that is ideal for almost any modern crossover or SUV.
Reduced risk of aquaplaning
This tire is characterized by high efficiency even in adverse weather conditions. The risk of aquaplaning has been significantly reduced due to the performance of the drainage system. To ensure this, the width of the longitudinal grooves has been significantly increased, which allows them to easily handle the removal of even a large amount of water, ensuring the fastest possible removal from the contact patch.
Geometrically optimized lamellas
If we consider that the tire is designed for summer operation and belongs to the High Terrain category, then its tread contains a large number of lamellas. The shape of these elements has been optimized using modern computer modeling technologies. The result of their work was an increased efficiency of the lamellas, which complement and enhance each other's action. This significantly improves the tire's grip properties on wet surfaces. Additionally, the arrangement and shape of the lamellas are chosen such that they generate a minimum of noise and vibrations when moving, ensuring an increased level of acoustic comfort.
Stability at high speed
The design of the tire's tread pattern is based on five longitudinal ribs. They are continuous throughout their length, which, in combination with their massive size, provides them with increased resistance to deformation. The stiffness of these elements allows for much faster transmission of acceleration forces to the bearing elements, which, in turn, has a positive effect on the tire's stability during high-speed movement, as well as on its effectiveness during deceleration.
Rigid blocks in the shoulder zones
The tire also demonstrates no less stability in behavior when maneuvering and cornering. This is ensured by the high constructive stiffness of the blocks in the shoulder zones, which is additionally enhanced by their transverse arrangement. Moreover, such a design in this part of the tread increases the accuracy of steering and reduces the braking distance.
