The summer tire GT Radial Savero G1 has a fairly narrow specialization. This model was specifically designed for light trucks, whose operation is associated with movement on both urban and rural roads. Its size range consists of two types with a mounting diameter of 15 and 16 inches.
S-shaped tread blocks
The tread pattern of the GT Radial Savero G1 tire consists of many massive blocks, the arrangement of which forms four clearly defined longitudinal ribs. This tread pattern structure provides the tire with excellent directional stability. At the same time, the tread blocks have a complex polygonal shape, remotely resembling the letter "S". Thanks to this, the contact patch at any given time has a huge number of gripping edges, which are also oriented in different directions. Due to this technical solution, the tire demonstrates excellent traction, especially on slippery surfaces.
Different angle of inclination of tread blocks
It is also worth noting the different angles of inclination of all S-shaped tread blocks, including those located in the shoulder areas. This was done for a number of reasons. First and foremost, such an arrangement made it possible to significantly reduce rolling resistance, which could not but affect the fuel efficiency indicators. The second factor that led to this technical solution was noise. As you know, the edges of the tread blocks are the main source of resonant noises and vibrations. By arranging them at a significant angle, and the blocks themselves with a different pitch relative to each other, the North American tire manufacturers were able to overcome this drawback, thereby ensuring driving comfort.
Long service life
This model is distinguished by excellent wear resistance indicators. This is largely due to the tread pattern, which is equipped with massive elements. Their large size allows the blocks to effectively counteract dynamic deformation, ensuring a more even distribution of external pressure on the contact patch. This not only reduced the likelihood of uneven wear development but also increased the tire's carrying capacity.
