GT Radial Maxway – summer tire, standing out with its multi-block tread structure. It is installed on a wide range of passenger cars, providing reliable traction, high maneuverability accuracy, as well as quick cleaning of the contact area from water and dirt.
The tire is equipped with a non-directional tread with a diagonal pattern. Its basis consists of three ribbed structures, each of which is segmented into separate blocks. On the one hand, this structure provides improved dynamic properties of the car, and on the other hand, makes handling more precise. It is important to note that the presence of numerous sharp edges allows for effective cutting of the water film, and excess moisture is removed through deep ring channels, supplemented by unidirectional grooves. Thanks to this, protection against hydroplaning was implemented.
The model is equipped with a two-layer steel cord, which effectively protects against mechanical damage, and also prevents ruptures under load. It is complemented by a nylon layer, which, in combination with a sufficiently soft compound, suppresses numerous vibrations, making the ride more comfortable. To this, it is worth adding the special arrangement of block structures, thanks to which the noise level was reduced. This had a positive impact on improving acoustic comfort in the cabin.
