Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT – a versatile "mud" model that behaves well on paved surfaces, providing precise handling and high maneuverability.
Rubber compound and geometry
Unlike aggressive competitors, the tire uses an adaptive compound with a high proportion of silicone-organic compounds. This provides two key benefits. Firstly, the micro-roughness of the working surface retains elasticity even in freezing temperatures, preventing the sidewall from becoming stiff. Secondly, the tread pattern is designed on the principle of a self-cleaning structure: wide drainage channels effectively evacuate not only water but also sticky mud, preventing the "clogging" effect.
The tire demonstrates impressive versatility:
- on loose soils and sand, the "uncovering" effect of the lugs works, increasing the contact patch.
- on rocky debris, the reinforced stone-ejecting groove works, protecting the carcass from punctures.
Weight reduction technology
One of the main features of the model, which is often underestimated, is the optimized weight of the construction. The breaker structure and the number of cord layers have been revised, achieving a reduction in unsprung masses without losing load-carrying capacity. For the owner, this translates into concrete numbers: improved response to steering wheel turns and reduced rolling resistance.
Carcass design
Special attention was paid to the sidewall. The model received a two-layer polyester base in the sidewall with a reinforced rim ring. This gives it phenomenal resistance to cuts when moving in a rut with sharp solid rock debris. According to independent crash tests, the sidewall's resistance to punctures is at the level of market leaders. The appearance of "bulges" during sharp impacts has also been virtually eliminated, as the force structure has an increased margin of safety against bending.
Key features of the Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT:
- self-cleaning geometry with aggressive shoulder blocks, providing "grip" in mud and on rocks;
- lightweight construction reduces the load on the chassis and decreases fuel consumption compared to analogs;
- increased resistance to cuts and tears under extreme loads (cord reinforcement);
- operation on both off-road and asphalt, with preservation of the entire range of working properties.
