The operational properties of the Goodyear EfficientGrip SCT summer tire are tailored with a "bias" towards maximum efficiency on wet surfaces. In such conditions, it demonstrates stable traction and the ability to brake intensely without relying on electronic "assistants".

The tire's tread has a 2-layer structure. The inner part is made of a rubber compound with increased stiffness and thermal conductivity. This significantly improves the stability of traction and reduces rolling resistance, especially during uniform straight-line movement. The outer part, which comes into direct contact with the road surface, is made from a compound that includes, in addition to "silica", resins with increased adhesion. This allows the tire to better grip the road surface, especially in rainy conditions.
