The Goodyear Eagle Sport SUV TZ summer tire is designed for the most dynamic versions of crossovers. It represents a special version of the same model, differing from it by increased efficiency at high speeds. The manufacturer preferred to change the tire design quite strongly, affecting both the tread pattern and the composition of the rubber mixture used in its manufacture.
Updated Tread Pattern
The design of the tread features an asymmetric arrangement and resistance to deformation of its forming elements. In the central part, they are distributed over three wide solid longitudinal ribs. They increase the accuracy of control and course stability at high speed. The V-shaped lamellae in their structure improve the efficiency of braking and acceleration on a wet surface. The increased depth of such grooves allows the tire to maintain these properties even with significant tread wear.
Effective Anti-Aquaplaning
The tread pattern contains a significant number of drainage grooves. Longitudinally arranged water-repelling elements have an increased volume, which minimizes the risk of aquaplaning even at high speed.
P-Shaped Blocks on the Edges of the Tread
The blocks located on the edges of the tread are distinguished not only by their massiveness but also by their unusual P-shaped form. The narrow bridges between the elements give them additional resistance to deformation, which increases the accuracy of control and stability during maneuvering and braking.
