Although the summer tire Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV has an abbreviation in its name that denotes crossovers, it demonstrates all its key advantages, first and foremost, on asphalt roads. In fact, like other representatives of the "Eagle" line, this model was developed for car owners who are much more important not for cross-country ability, but for the behavior of the car on high-speed highways. It is on them that this tire shows itself in all its glory.
Active CornerGrip Technology
A significant part of the advantages of the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV-4x4 tire is provided by the Active CornerGrip technology. Its essence, as the name suggests, is to provide improved grip when maneuvering and turning. This is achieved through a whole complex of technical solutions. First of all, it is the use of a rubber compound containing special polymers. They provide the integrity of the tread at high speed, as well as maintain elasticity at an optimal level, which changes depending on the temperature of the tire.
Another important component of this technology is the design of the sidewalls and the shape of the tread profile. With their help, the contact patch has a shape close to square, which, when affected by multidirectional acceleration forces, practically does not change, which, in turn, provides a uniform distribution of external load on it. The ultimate result of this technical solution is not only excellent grip, but also reliable predictable behavior of the car in any situation.
Quietness and Smoothness on the Go
North American tire makers have managed to give this tire not only sporty handling, but also comfortable travel conditions, which can be characterized as smooth and quiet. Smoothness on the go is achieved due to a two-layer tread, the inner part of which is made of a rigid compound, and the outer part, on the contrary, is more elastic. In turn, the low noise level is provided by the multi-step arrangement of tread blocks.
