Description Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 SCT
The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 SCT summer tire is a special version of the flagship model of the North American brand. It is distinguished by a reduced noise level, achieved through the use of SoundComfort technology. At the same time, the other operational properties have remained at a very high level.
One of the key features of the tire is the presence of a layer of special porous elastic material on its inner side. It absorbs most of the noise and vibrations that occur during rolling and friction of the tire against the road surface. This significantly improves the acoustic comfort inside the car, especially on uneven roads.
The tread part of the tire is made based on silicon dioxide. This component is used in the form of particles of extremely small size, which significantly increases the uniformity of the compound, thereby improving its effectiveness. This technology provides the tire with excellent grip on cold and wet road surfaces.
The tire uses Active Braking technology. During longitudinal accelerations, the tire changes its shape to additionally increase the contact patch. This increases the grip properties, reducing the braking distance and increasing the acceleration intensity, especially on wet surfaces.
Another important advantage of the tire is its sport-tuned handling. This is due to the use of Power Cushion technology, which implies increased strength of the tire carcass fixation with its tread. The stiffness of this connection allows for precise and fast transmission of steering effort and engine power to the wheels.
Main features of the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 SCT
- a rubber compound based on fine-dispersed "silica" improves grip on wet surfaces;
- programmable deformation zones of the carcass and tread part increase the contact patch during longitudinal accelerations;
- increased strength of the connection between the carcass and the tread improves handling accuracy, especially during dynamic driving;
- a sound- and vibration-insulating layer on the inner side of the tread improves acoustic comfort inside the car, especially on uneven roads.
