The Goodyear Duraplus summer tire is installed on compact and medium-sized passenger cars. In addition to the stability of the coupling properties, it is characterized by reliability and a long service life on bad roads.
The tread of the tire is made of a rubber compound with a high carbon content. This gives the tire high resistance to abrasive wear, increasing its lifespan. The breaker located directly under the tread contains an additional cord of spiral-shaped Kevlar fibers. This "liner" increases the stability of the coupling properties at high speeds due to its rigidity, and also prevents the destruction of the tread under the influence of high temperatures. The increased tread width and its optimized profile provide a larger contact patch, enhancing the coupling properties.
Key Features:
- a carbon-rich compound increases the tire's lifespan;
- an additional Kevlar fiber cord reduces the risk of tread damage in adverse operating conditions;
- the increased tread width and its optimized profile enhance grip, providing driving comfort.
