Open Tread Design

Since this model was initially intended for operation, including in winter, it's no surprise that it was equipped with a tread featuring an open design. Some of the solutions used in it were borrowed from other Goodyear tires, primarily from the Wrangler line. We're talking about tread blocks with a complex polygonal shape that form numerous gripping edges during movement. This allows the tire to feel very confident not only on asphalt but also on dirt roads.

Good Directional Stability and Fuel Efficiency

At the same time, it's worth noting that the blocks are arranged on the tread in such a way that when they come into contact with the road, they form four continuous longitudinal ribs. This feature significantly improves several tire characteristics - directional stability, handling responsiveness. Additionally, the rounded corners of the blocks, combined with the arrangement of their edges at large angles, significantly reduce rolling resistance and noise levels. Additional acoustic comfort is achieved because the blocks are arranged with varying pitches relative to each other. This reduces the likelihood of resonant noise and vibration formation.
