Original tread pattern design
Since the tire was initially designed for use on commercial vehicles, it could not help but affect its design. One of the specific features was the tread pattern, which has a number of original technical solutions.
It consists of many separate blocks of trapezoidal shape, arranged in a checkerboard pattern and forming a kind of five longitudinal ribs, including two shoulder zones. Thanks to this solution, the company's specialists were able to saturate the contact patch with a huge number of differently directed gripping edges, thus providing excellent traction even in the most unfavorable conditions.
Excellent directional stability
To ensure maximum directional stability, North American tire makers have placed larger blocks in the central part of the tread. Due to their massiveness, these tread elements have high resistance to deformations that occur when the tire is moving. As a result, the Goodyear Cargo UltraGrip G124 tire demonstrates not only excellent directional stability but also clear and transparent responses to steering wheel control. Additionally, due to the minimal placement of tread blocks in the central part, it was possible to significantly reduce rolling resistance, which had a very beneficial effect on fuel consumption.
Unisteel technology
This tire can absolutely painlessly withstand operation even on very poor roads. This was achieved thanks to the use of Unisteel technology. Due to the multi-layer steel cord, the tire has high strength and the ability to effectively absorb shocks from the road surface when driving over bumps.
Excellent resistance to aquaplaning and slushplaning
Thanks to the large number of tread blocks, the tire has a very effective drainage system. Due to the large number of water drainage channels, as well as their significant volume, the tire easily copes with the removal of not only water but also more heavy snow masses from the contact patch.
