Unlike most competitors, North American tire manufacturers have developed the Goodyear Cargo G26 commercial tire "from scratch", i.e. without taking one of the models for passenger cars as a basis. To a large extent, it is precisely this approach that can explain the excellent adaptability of this tire to the specific operating conditions on light trucks and minibuses.

Reliable and stable behavior in any conditions

At the same time, it is impossible not to note that some of the technologies used in this model were "borrowed" from passenger car tires. First of all, this is the technology of programmable deformation of tread blocks. When in contact with the road surface, they change their shape under load, which significantly increases the contact patch with it. This feature significantly improves the traction properties on dry roads.

In addition, it is impossible not to note such a feature in the tread design as the presence of four longitudinal ribs, composed of many blocks located close to each other. Along with their longitudinal arrangement and trapezoidal shape, this noticeably improves the stability and reliability of longitudinal traction properties.

Long service life

Another advantage of this design is the uniform distribution of external load over the entire contact patch area. This feature improves several important operational properties at once. First of all, it is the prevention of uneven wear, increased carrying capacity, as well as reduced rolling resistance.
