One of the distinguishing features of the Goodride H120 summer passenger tire is its rather narrow specialization. First and foremost, this model is designed for use in the field of commercial transportation. However, the size range, represented on the domestic market by only three sizes for wheels with a mounting diameter of 12 and 13 inches, limits the applicability of this tire to compact delivery vans based on conventional passenger cars.
High load capacity
Despite its relatively miniature size, the Chinese manufacturer claims quite high load capacity indicators for this tire, which vary depending on the size and version from 462 to 670 kilograms per wheel. These statements are quite justified, given the technical solutions used to ensure high strength and reliability.
First of all, this is the carcass, the cord of which is wound from a steel wire of increased diameter. At the same time, the breaker layer is also made using this material. As a result, the Chinese specialists were able to not only increase the strength of the carcass but also, due to the high resistance to dynamic deformations, ensure the optimal distribution of external pressure over the contact patch. Therefore, in addition to load capacity, this model is also favorably distinguished by its excellent resistance of the tread to uneven wear, which significantly extends its service life.
Original S-shaped tread design
The main distinguishing feature of the S-shaped tread pattern of this tire is its layout. It consists of three very wide longitudinal ribs, each of which has a complex structure. In particular, the central part of the tread contains a double longitudinal rib and two rows of separate blocks of quadrangular shape. This structure made it possible to provide the tire with excellent directional stability, as well as superior traction properties, especially on slippery surfaces.
