The General Tire Eurovan 2 summer commercial tire, although released under a North American brand, is primarily oriented towards the European market, where, in addition to a lower price compared to most competitors, it boasts a range of significant advantages. The application of the latest developments provided by the "parent" company Continental AG has given this model high operational characteristics.

Wide applicability

One of the distinguishing features of this tire is its applicability to most modern commercial vehicles of small capacity. Currently, it is offered in two dozen sizes - from 14 to 16 inches. At the same time, the declared speed indices are better suited to passenger than commercial tires - from Q to T.

Increased load capacity

For some sizes of this model, the maximum load per wheel reaches 1215 kg. The increased load capacity, even considering the purpose of this tire, is ensured by the design of the carcass. It has been significantly strengthened by increasing the cord layer and the presence of an additional breaker. It, like the carcass, is also fully made of steel cord.

Low risk of aquaplaning

During the development of this tire, great attention was paid to safety on wet roads. Evidence of this is the design of the drainage system. Its basis is three longitudinal grooves, one of which runs exactly along the center of the tread. Each of these elements has a significant capacity, which allows the contact patch to be intensively drained even in the most unfavorable weather conditions.

Improved handling and braking efficiency

A distinctive feature of the tread pattern is the high efficiency of torque realization on both dry and wet roads. This is ensured by several features at once. One of them is the steel breaker mentioned above. Located directly under the tread, such a rigid "substrate" improves traction, especially when starting and braking, as well as when maneuvering. These same properties are provided by a number of features of the tread design. These include continuous and wide longitudinal ribs, numerous transverse traction edges.

Acoustic comfort

Another significant advantage of this tire over its competitors is its acoustic comfort. Its level is significantly higher, thanks to the same tread pattern design. It contains a relatively small number of elements, and their multi-step arrangement further reduces noise and vibration, especially when driving over small road irregularities.
