The General Tire Altimax Sport summer tire stands out with its unusually high technical specifications for a tire product from the Far East.
Refined handling on dry and wet roads
The asymmetric tread pattern, among other elements, features a wide longitudinal rib in the center and a large number of massive P-shaped blocks in the shoulder areas. This allows the tire to remain stable at high speeds, and also to react very quickly and accurately to the driver's actions.
Silica-based compound
The rubber mixture used to manufacture the tread of this model contains a large amount of silica. This component gives it increased elasticity on cold and wet roads, as well as increased resistance to wear and reduced rolling resistance.
Improved braking efficiency
The blocks in the shoulder areas improve another important characteristic. We are talking about braking efficiency. The traction edges formed by them reduce the braking distance, and the massive size provides stability and predictability to this mode of movement.
Key features:
- a continuous longitudinal rib in the center increases steering precision;
- good traction on wet roads, high resistance to wear due to the silica-based compound.
