Description FirstStop Tour
In addition to its impressive appearance, the First Stop Tour summer tire boasts high performance in any conditions, ensured by the use of efficient technical solutions and modern materials in its design.
Z-shaped blocks
The central part of the tread consists of two very wide longitudinal ribs, each containing a multitude of massive blocks of an original Z-shaped design. Each such tread element features very long transverse gripping edges, which enable the First Stop Tour tire to demonstrate excellent traction properties.
Two longitudinal ribs in the center
The two aforementioned longitudinal ribs are separated by two small ribs, each with a very rigid continuous structure. This allows them to improve several operational properties at once. First and foremost, they provide good directional stability, as well as giving the tire quick and precise reactions to steering wheel turns. Additionally, the two rigid tread ribs in the center prevent uneven wear and reduce rolling resistance.
First Stop Tour's resistance to aquaplaning
Between the two central longitudinal ribs, a very wide drainage groove is located, acting as a reservoir. Its significant volume allows it to quickly divert from the contact patch virtually any amount of water, which is then discharged beyond the tread through numerous transverse grooves. These grooves are positioned against the direction of travel, which greatly increases their throughput, and with it, the tire's resistance to aquaplaning.
Key features:
- numerous Z-shaped blocks increase the contact patch and improve the longitudinal traction properties of the First Stop Tour;
- two longitudinal ribs in the center enhance stability at high speeds and give the tire quick and precise reactions to steering wheel turns;
- a wide longitudinal drainage groove in the center, as well as numerous transverse grooves positioned against the direction of travel, provide the tire with excellent resistance to aquaplaning.
