Federal Himalaya WS2 (Нешип)

A wide range of Federal Himalaya WS2 winter tires allows their use in both passenger cars and crossovers. Designed for operation in regions with a cold climate, it differs in comfort and reliability of traction on any slippery roads from snow and ice.

The tread pattern of the tire is made in a classic directional design for winter models with a V-shaped arrangement of drainage elements. This scheme of their placement significantly accelerates the removal of snow and water from under the tire. The composite central rib of blocks provides stability on straight road sections, and a multitude of lamellas of various shapes form sharp traction edges that improve braking and acceleration on ice. The design of the shoulder zones is reinforced, which increases stability in turns and reduces the risk of uneven wear.

In the manufacture of the tread, a rubber compound with a high content of "silica" and natural rubber is used. Thanks to this, the tire remains elastic even at temperatures below -30 °C, which contributes to a more reliable contact with the road surface. The microporous structure of the compound improves the ability of the material to "absorb" moisture from the surface of the ice, increasing traction in extremely slippery conditions.

The tire carcass is reinforced with a combination of a two-layer steel breaker and a nylon cord, which increases the strength of the sidewalls and resistance to impact loads. This solution reduces the likelihood of damage when driving on rough roads and provides stable tire behavior even at high speeds.
