Description Falken Ziex ZE-914
The Falken Ziex ZE-914 summer tire has a rather specific set of operational properties. This is due to the fact that it was developed specifically for passenger cars equipped with a hybrid power unit. I.e. this model is distinguished not only by good traction properties, but also by very high fuel efficiency indicators. Such a combination was achieved due to a number of technical solutions, which will be discussed below.
ECORUN rubber compound
A significant reduction in fuel consumption of this tire was achieved due to the physicochemical properties of the rubber compound of its tread. It has two layers, the lower of which is characterized by increased stiffness and resistance to deformation, as well as a lack of tendency to heat up during high-speed movement.
Optimized arrangement of traction edges
All the few traction edges of the tread of this model are located at a significant angle relative to the direction of movement. At the same time, the most extended of them have a curved shape. Such a design allows for an additional increase in fuel efficiency. In addition, this solution significantly increases the resistance of the tread to uneven wear.
Increased resistance to aquaplaning
The longitudinal drainage grooves located between the tread ribs are distinguished by an increased number of up to 4. In addition, these elements have a large internal volume, which, in combination with the previous feature, provides reliable traction even on a very wet road.
Main features of Falken Ziex ze-914
- optimized rubber compound with reduced rolling resistance improves fuel efficiency and resistance to abrasive wear;
- traction edges located at an acute angle reduce fuel consumption, increase the service life of the tread;
- four deep drainage grooves running between the tread blocks improve resistance to aquaplaning.
