The Falken LA/CT tire is a summer model designed for off-road vehicles and powerful crossovers, manufactured by a well-known Japanese company. When designing the LA/CT, the developers chose a path of high technology, which allows significantly reducing the production cost of the product. But despite the apparent simplicity of the tread pattern, it was carefully developed and tested on electronic simulators. The optimal size of the blocks and drainage channels, as well as the features of their mutual arrangement, meet all the criteria related to the specifics of use.
The tread of the Falken LA/CT tire features 5 radial sections with alternating block arrangement ("herringbone"). This design provides stable traction and adhesion characteristics regardless of the direction of movement (forward and backward). The side sections of reinforced blocks guarantee reliable resistance to perpendicular loads, ensuring stability when cornering and preventing mechanical damage.
The network of wide radial and horizontal drainage channels allows for rapid removal of water accumulations and self-cleaning from adhered dirt.
The carcass design uses the latest high-strength polymeric materials, providing high reliability under heavy loads and resistance to mechanical damage.
The specificity of the anti-phase arrangement of the tread blocks contributes to effective noise suppression.
The elastic rubber based on silicone-rubber polymers contributes to the absorption of shocks and vibrations when driving on rough terrain.
