Falken Espia Ice – a passenger car tire designed for use in winter conditions. The studded tire is characterized by improved traction and braking on icy roads, as well as wear resistance. Additionally, the special stud design allows for minimal damage to the road surface.
The tread pattern is asymmetrical. Channels emanating from the center provide good resistance to slushplaning. The central blocks form a row, allowing for easy and stable vehicle handling. Special Miura-ori lamellas provide a high level of grip.
The tread itself consists of two layers, which allows the studs to be held more tightly in the tire. Between the blocks, there are special connecting bridges that strengthen them and provide stable handling on dry roads.
The tire is made from a special rubber compound with high-dispersion silica, which further improves traction on both dry and wet road surfaces. The material is also distinguished by its wear resistance and mechanical strength.
Key features of Falken Espia Ice
- minimization of the risk of slushplaning due to channels directed from the center;
- ease of handling and course stability due to the presence of large and bridge-reinforced blocks;
- studs have a robust fit, improving traction characteristics;
- the manufacturing material with the addition of high-dispersion silica provides strength, durability, and excellent traction.
