The Evergreen EW616 winter tire is installed on small commercial vehicles. It is characterized by good performance for its class in any road conditions, as well as economic efficiency due to its pronounced fuel-saving properties and durability.
The tread pattern is distinguished by the multitude and multidirectionality of gripping edges. Most of them are formed due to the edges of the lamellas. Several types of such cuts are used here. Wave-like lamellas improve the efficiency of the tread on rolled snow and ice. Straight cuts improve the gripping properties on a wet surface, providing additional water diversion from the contact patch. An important feature of the tread pattern is the design of the shoulder zones. The blocks that form them are made narrow, which allowed increasing their number, improving longitudinal grip on snow. The elements are connected to each other by rigid bridges, which increase directional stability and handling accuracy, preventing uneven wear when heavily loaded.
Main features:
- two types of lamellas improve the efficiency of the tread on any slippery surface;
- narrow blocks on the edges of the tread with rigid bridges between them improve traction and grip on snow, stability and handling accuracy when maneuvering, resistance to wear;
- a rubber compound with a high content of silicon-containing components retains elasticity at negative temperatures.
